2024 with Ciesse, towards a sustainable future

2023 marked a decisive step in the journey toward environmental sustainability. The approval of new decrees and Europe’s commitment to the energy transition have turned the goals set in recent years into concrete commitments for the future. These are extremely ambitious objectives, considering that over the past two decades, the renewable energy adoption rate was barely under 25%. Now, we face the challenge of reaching net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050. These goals require a massive acceleration in the transition to renewable energy sources.

Photovoltaics at the heart of energy innovation

As new technologies emerge as candidates to meet the 2050 goals, photovoltaics stand out as the most immediate and vital solution. The sector has experienced unprecedented acceleration over the past year, highlighted both by the number of installations and technological innovations. New photovoltaic systems must aim for greater efficiency and effectiveness, with increased energy production and its management in the specific energy context in which they are implemented. This approach goes beyond just installed power and extends to improving overall energy production by creating systems that specifically optimize photovoltaic energy output. For years, Ciesse has been working on the performance of installations, designing and applying the best innovative technologies.

Businesses as key players in the energy transition

The use of photovoltaics in companies has gained a new perspective in 2023, shifting from a mere financial investment to a crucial lever for business sustainability. In addition to improving the “carbon footprint,” photovoltaics have now become a key element in the rational and sustainable management of energy, affecting all business processes, both in service and production industries. The modern company can no longer view sustainability as a cost-reduction goal but as an imperative to remain competitive in the future market. Failure to meet environmental targets may lead to exclusion from the market itself.

Ciesse positions itself as a pioneer in this paradigm shift. In addition to being frontline consultants, the company also acts as an executor and designer, focusing particularly on the phase after implementation. Ciesse’s monitoring system ensures constant supervision of the results achieved by the plants. Over the years, Ciesse has completed 30 MW of installations, produced 70 GWh of clean energy, avoided the emission of approximately 28,000,000 kg of CO2, and helped plant the equivalent of 1,280,000 trees worldwide.

Goals and Challenges for the Future: Between Training and Information

The renewable energy sector is preparing for new challenges but also for unprecedented opportunities. Training and information for companies are becoming a top priority to tackle this transition. In 2024, Ciesse announces the start of a conference calendar aimed at raising awareness and preparing companies for the sustainability journey. The year 2024 will see the launch of training meetings to support and assist farmers, with a focus on agrivoltaics as a development path for the future. The creation of synergies will be the core of the company’s mission, a key element to make a significant impact in this promising sector.

A 1.7 MW installation

Ciesse bids farewell to 2023 with a significant project: The 1.7 MW photovoltaic plant of 2023 (image on the cover) was designed and installed in the province of Catania for an industrial company operating in the steel sector, using Solaredge technology. This project underscores the positive influence of photovoltaics on businesses, highlighting the direction the sector is heading. The path is set, and the future will be driven by a combination of technological innovation and a commitment to sustainability. Self-production, self-sufficiency, reduced CO2 emissions, and sustainability are the best wishes for the future. The company closes the year with awareness of the milestones achieved and with determination to face the challenges of 2024 with innovation and commitment.

Happy 2024 from Ciesse!
